Now I'm wondering whether we are talking about the same family. My Carpenters are still in Cloverland, but these other names are not familiar, and there were unrelated Carpenters in the county. Perhaps they were close enough to Cloverland to confuse us. Trinity400 is a cousin of mine, so we represent the same family. William Henry Harrison Carpenter moved there after the Civil war, apparently with his father George and his new wife Eugenia Pierce, and perhaps other family members. They arrived from Hyndman, PA, in Bedford county. Are these your people? -----Original Message----- From: Dale White <dwhite@jdv.net> To: INCLAY-L@rootsweb.com <INCLAY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, May 14, 2000 4:29 PM Subject: Re: Carpenter Cemetery listings? >Well, the Smiths, McBrides, Latta's, Morris families all have a connection to >the Carpenters, down line that are buried in there. since I am not connected to this family I will ask my sister about it and if she can help get back to you otherwise to avoid confusions. happy hunting without me.. I just know that there are several Carpenters related to the NOE family buried in the Adel Cemetery in Owen Co south of Spencer Indiana -- near the Troy church now called Adel church.. Cemetery is way back up a lane and not well taken care of..
