Mrs. Martha L. Arthur, aged 73 years, one month and three days, a well known resident of Brazil for many years, died at 9:25 o?clock this morning at the home of her son, Frank Arthur, 730 north Harrison street, from injuries she sustained in a fall Thursday morning. Mrs. Arthur was getting out of bed yesterday morning when she slipped and fell, fracturing the right hip and causing injuries which resulted in her death today. Mrs. Arthur was born in Indiana and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Wise. She had resided in Brazil for many years, was a consistent member of the First Christian church and was held in high esteem. The deceased is survived by two sons and a daughter, Frank, of this city; Charles, of Edwardsport, and Mrs. R.O. Kimmell, of Sullivan; also eight grandchildren, tow brothers and two sisters, George and Shade Wise, of Shelburn; Mrs. Rose Willis, of Sullivan; and Mrs. Jennie Willis of Vincennes. The body was removed to the Lawon & Sons funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
