I shared my entire database with someone one time and he put it on Rootsweb and Ancestry. If I wanted my years of research on those sites, I would have placed it there. I'll be very careful what I put on this list, or any other list and would caution others to do the same. I received a lot of help in my research and I love helping others; but I am very cautious with who and what after that. If the information is readily available online, then I agree that it should not necessarily be posted, but you should at least post a link so that people can get to it. Otherwise I still stand by my original posting. Thanks, Bart Emanuel Bart Emanuel ==== INCLAY Mailing List ==== To contact the INCLAY list owner, send a message to; fred@claynet.com
I too shared a file with someone once and then found it posted on their family site. Some of the information was personal and should never have been posted. Needless to say I was very upset with this. So I am very careful about what I share now. I think general information found or given to help possibly point someone in the right direction or jump start a brick in a wall is ok. I wouldn't recomend anyone adding information to any of their lines without verifying first.
