My dream would be that I could give my entire data base to 100 people and they would all post it somewhere for public consumption. That would mean that more people could see it and eventually I would get a lot more added to what I already have. I really don't care who takes credit for it just get it out there so others can add to their data bases and share what information they have. I guess if you plan to write a book and copy write it that might be different. I am only trying to expand what I know about my own family, I can't imagine hiding it under a bushel. If you do not post on the list how can folks see the names you are interested in and help with your research. The lists, and I work on about 20, are only beneficial to everyone if almost everything is posted back through the list. Lists will not take attachments so that has to be an exception. Lists that post back through the open list create a tremendous amount in traffic, and if you aren't interested in a name, just delete that message. There will be others that will find something in the message and respond. This list has been dead for years, recent activity has increased, but I still just see folks asking for information and mainly wanting someone to respond to them privately. Lets make this list live and help everyone. Don
