William Owen was born the 6th child of Jonathan and Loisa Tayor Owen. natives of NC. He was born in Pulaski Co., KY Mar 16, 1826. CH: Mary E., David, Eliza Ann, Jacob and James. His parents died after coming to Clay County abt 1829 and he was raised by Zacheriah Denny. He married Martha Cooprider Jun 15, 1848.
