Just use the cursor and click 'til just the cursor flashes. Back off the In/Clay part and fill in Ar/Vanburen (or Van Buren). Scroll down to my query on Dr. John Chance. He was one of the sons of Purnell (Pernell, Pernel, Pernal, etc.---take your pick!) Chance and Starling Barnes Chance. Rev. John Chance, M. D., ("Hard Shell" Baptist preacher and medical doctor!) had a brother named Daniel and one named Tilman (Tillman). Daniel moved to Illinois and Tilman and parents stayed in Clay Co., IN. John had sons named Tilman (b. @ 1827, IN) and Pernell (b. @ 1820, IN). He moved his family to Van Buren Co., Arkansas (Cadron Township). His son Pernell (married a woman of first name Zilpha) named sons John, Pernell, and Tilman. During the War of Northern Agression, in @ late 1863, Confederate General Joseph Shelby's men hanged Dr. John Chance for apparently leading raids on his pro-Confederate neighbors. I'm his gggg-grandson.
