He was born in East TN (probably Knox. Co., TN) on Aug 25, 1829. His mother's name was Catherine. I found in the 1850 Clay County Census that his mother as head of household and his younger siblings were Oliver, John and Elinder (girl). They were mistakenly listed under the name RUE. I have a short biography of Nimrod RULE that says his family moved from TN to IN when he was a year old (1830). Perhaps there were other RULE's who also moved from TN to IN. I would love to find out who Nimrod's father was and any other info. on his family.
