Posted on: Clay County, In Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/In/Clay?read=1006 Surname: Burcham, Hollingsworth, Mills, Grubbs, Sinders, Uland, McCoy, Montgomery, Gifford, Cram, Craig ------------------------- Friends, I am looking for additional information on Henry MILLS and his wife Geneva. Geneva, whose surname is unknown, was born in 1859 and died 1944 in Clay County, Indiana. Her husband, Henry MILLS, was born in 1854 and died in October, 1937, leaving her a widow. They had several children, four girls and two boys: Nelye, Neva Iona, Frank, Verlin, Fay, Vernilla. Almost all of the family and many of their collective descenents are buried in Maple Grove cemetery in Clay City, Clay County, Indiana, off of Hwy. 59. I don't know anything about the family prior to Henry and Geneva's marraige, and, as mentioned earlier, I do not know her maiden name. Much of the information I have gathered was found with the assistance of a great volunteer at the Clay County Genealogical Society Library in Center Point. Any information you might have would be a great help. Thank you!
I can't give you much informatioin, but couldn't help reply. Were you Verna Burcham's relative? Neva Iona Mills married John Sinders and lived very close to me here in Howesville. Her daughter Helena married Cloisey Mishler and lived 2 houses down from me for several years. Helena just celebrated her 100th birthday. She might have some info. A daughter Millola Horton lives on a rural route outside Clay City, IN. I don't know the address of a sister Genevieve (90 years) lives on the west coast and likely would have info. I could easily find Millola's address--don't know that she has a computer. Rachel M.
