Have you tried emailing the Clay County Genealogical Society? They have recorded all of the cemeteries and are in the process of publishing township books. Several are already available; however, in any case they say on their cemetery page that all cemeteries in Clay County have been recorded by Society volunteers. research@ccgsilib.org ----- Original Message ----- From: slasorsa@optonline.net To: INCLAY-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2005 10:44 AM Subject: [INCLAY] union cemetery burial/tombstone inscription This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Roughly 3 miles south of Brazil on St Rd 59 you will see signs to turn east for Airport and Jackson Twp School. Take that road. Go on past the airport. Union Cemetary is across the road, on the north side, from the church. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Rachelle65@aol.com> To: <INCLAY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2005 2:35 PM Subject: Re: [INCLAY] union cemetery burial/tombstone inscription >I dont know where Union Cemetery is, but if anyone could give me >directions, > I would be glad someday to go out and try to find stone. > > > ==== INCLAY Mailing List ==== > > >

Could your Dunahey be related to a Jennie Dunahey who married a Robert Short in Clay County in April 1880. She was born in 1861 and it says in Ohio but doesn't show where her parents are from. Fathers name is George Dunahey. We are looking for all of these different related families. Some of these families are buried at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Brazil, Clay County. Don: Rilla Belle Kline, my former husband's paternal grandmother, was a daughter of George Washington Cooprider, and she married George Washington Kline. George Washington Kline was a son of Peter Kline. George Washington Cooprider was a son of Peter Cooprider. Appears confusing, but correct. "Lovisa" Margaret Schauwecker-- one of six children of John Jacob Schauwecker whose story I'm assuming you already have--was Rilla's grandmother Among other spellings of John Jacob Schauwecker's wife's name is "Voner." ~~Dixie Kline Richardson

According to my very old notes and these are undocumented, George Washington Kline m. Salletha Mize April 7, l864 in Clay. He was born Dec. 29, l8l7 and died June 1, 1890. He was also married to Lydia White who (my notes say) died in l848. In the line of my children, GW's son Simeon Cornelius Cooprider was b. Oct. 25, l846. I have no notes re siblings, but perhaps you're looking at the second (?) marriage's line. ~~Dixie Richardson, Indianapolis and Spencer
Because at the time I was related to the Clay county Coopriders by marriage, I was shown a fairly comprehensive family history...this was in the l960's in Linton. I don't recall who had the material, but somewhere it exists. My children are descended from George Washington Cooprider and wife who was a White, through their son Simeon Cornelius Cooprider, and his daughter Rilla B. Cooprider Kline (whose husband was George Washington Kline). ~~Dixie Richardson, Indianapolis
