I believe Harrison to be the son of William Weatherman. Harrison was b. c1829 in Indiana. He and Nancy can be found in the 1860 census of Harrison Twp., Clay Co, IN and the 1870 census in Lewis Twp., Clay Co., IN Nancy Jane was b 2 Feb 1834, IN and married Harrison in Clay Co on 7 May 1854. Sampson was their first child. I have more information and am missing some as well. Would like to correspond with you to fill in the blanks. "Aunt Jane" was known in Clay Co as a midwife... and according to my mother, smoked a corncob pipe.

I have Stark's related to the Chastain's in my husbands Stark lines,. His great grandfather was Frances Marion Stark married to Mary Alice Smith and his father Isaac Stark married to Elizabeth Richey and his father was Abraham Stark and Sarah Stark they were cousins. Their daughter Rebecca Stark married Peter Chastain's. The Stark's are buried in Clay County. There is another Chastain connection also but don't have it in the Tree Maker yet. Will gladly share information. Kaye
Hi, I'm descended from Caleb through his son Henry B. VEST. Henry is on the 1850 census in Posey township. By 1860 he has moved to Soap Creek township, Davis County, Iowa. Henry's daughter, Sarah Jane VEST married my g-g-gfather Richard Johnson Harbour. Henry allegedly died in Davis County, Iowa in 1879. Funny, I just started looking at this side of the family. Most of my research for Clay county has been centered on the STOUT name and related families. These two branches don't meet until my grandparents married in 1920 in Sand Springs, Tulsa Counry, Oklahoma. I have some unsourced info I've gotten on the VEST line from databases on Rootsweb. I'd appreciate any info you are willing to share! -Bart Emanuel Bart Emanuel
