Mary, I definately want a copy. I had planned a trip down there the first part of next month. Are there enough copies available that I could pick it then or would be safer to have shipped to me? Thanks. Rentschler Funeral Home no longer exists. French's Funeral Home in Brazil, IN may have gotten their records ( I think that Slacks bought Rentschler and French's bought Slacks) I grew up in that area. Poland had Presbyterian (now Poland Historical Chapel) and German Reformed (now Zion Unitted Church of Christ). CenterPoint had Methodist and ?? $40 plus postage, which I think is $3.50. The book was first published in 1884. Mary
How much is the book Mary? Kaye
You have mentioned a Lawson Connection in Clay County! Who was it? Mary G
For those who are intested, the Blanchard History of Clay County is still available at CCGS in Center Point! _research@ccgsilib.com_ (mailto:research@ccgsilib.com) . It is good reading for History Buffs like me! Mary

Using a different source (Heritage Quest's Pro-Quest), I was able to locate the image listing the name of the head of the household at family #912 of the 1860 Federal Census of Esmen, Livingston County, Illinois. This was Andrew J. Corbin, age 41, born in Virginia who is listed on the last line of page 131. This page is missing from the Ancestry.com images. The family of Andrew J. and Sarah Corbin, ages 52 and 48 respectively, then appear at family #122 in the 1870 Federal Census of Esmen, Livingston County, Illinois. Included in the household were Rachel, age 18 and William, age 16. The surname is erroneously indexed as Carbin. I do not find either an Andrew or a Jackson Corbin born approximately 1818 in the 1850 Federal Census indexes. Hi Sid, First and foremost, thank you for all your trouble. It is really appreciated as this family is just too confusing for words. What I have is Rachael's birthdate of March 11, 1851. I have a copy of a photo undated which pictures Rachael and her two brothers Thomas and Perry. Rachael marries Benjamin Franklin Flowers and they live in Illinois. In the 1880 Census I found them with two daughters, Cecia b. 1877 and Nettie b. 1880. I do know that this daughter, Nettie, lives to maturity. So, my thinking is that this may just be the family I've been searching for and I can discard George. I know I'm being a pest, but this is as close as I've gotten in many years of searching. Would it be possible to try to track this family both back and forward in time? In the 1880 Census, I found a Jackson Corbin, b. 1818 in WV married to Sarah J. b. 1823 in WV. They have a son W. "T." born in 1854 which would make him the correct age for the William T. you found. I have the feeling that this family Corbin was in Harrison County, West Virginia (formerly Virginia) at one time and this is when Rachael and Benjamin Flowers may have met. Thank you so much for everything you've done. Maureen
