I have a William Kavaugh (sp?) Payne - born 17 may 1807 Shelby Co, KY, died 14 Mar 1883 Owen Co, IN (son of Jonathon Payne) - as married into one of my family branches. He was wed 2 Nov 1826 Owen Co, IN to Amma Beem. They had 1 son and 7 daughters. Amma was the sister of my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. This sounds like a match for your Jonathon Payne family. I do have additional info on William and Amma's descendents. barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: <mmikedean1@aol.com> To: <INCLAY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2005 5:33 PM Subject: [INCLAY] Payne family of Clay Co., In > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xh.2ADE/2052 > > Message Board Post: > > To all Payne family researchers. I would love it if you could look up in Clay County Marriages, a marriage date for Cornelius Conners and Alice Killion Conners, daughter of William A. Killion and Elizabeth Persinger. I think it should be in that timeframe. Jill Lawson

_hjenkins@netnitco.net_ (mailto:hjenkins@netnitco.net) I want to contact the owner of the preceding email address. Does anyone on this list have a current address for him? He last wrote me over a year ago. I wanted to advise him that the family of Frederick and Clara Smith of Vigo County have marked the graves of Ezra Morrison Lowe and his wife, Sarah Oliver in the Mewhenney Cemetery in Vigo County. Fred's mother was Sarah Rebecca Lowe and lived in Riley most of her life. Mary Gardner Decatur, GA
