What actually is the Clay County Encyclopedia? Also can someone do a lookup of the surname Gilbert? Thanks tremendously. Connie
Fred should have the District #21 of Van Buren Twp. on-line by the first part of next week. The next district is quite large and will take me a few weeks to get transcribed (I hope only a few weeks)! :o) Good luck all. Becky
Marybeth, will be transcribing pages 10 & 11 of the Clay County Encyclopedia, hopefully this data will help. Fred =============================

Talked with our ISP provider and got squared away.... something to do with UUNET and translation of the DNS server.... so we access for now using 216.10.103.21 which is Ancestry's actual address. Thanks for your comments and help.. Bill
Just to keep you all updated, I just received three more pages of the Encyclopedic Directory and have them on-line at; http://www.rootsweb.com/~inclay/enc-dir/index.htm If you are interested in transcribing any of the pages that are on-line let me know so two people are not working on the same page. Fred
I was just there - not a problem....checked both the free pages and member pages. Norma

Daniel Monger was born in Fayette County IN December 26, 1817. He moved to Miami County, IN about 1856 and in 1867 he moved to Carlisle, AR where he lived the rest of his life. The information I have came from a book titled "The Mongers A Family of Old Virginia" written by Billie Jo Monger. In the book her name is spelled Phoebe, but I have also seen it spelled Pheba on an old photo. Hope this helps. Joan
