The above address is excellent. I looked up several family members and found that they had obit's listed. The cost was very reasonable and they had the copies mailed to me in less than two weeks from the time I contacted them. terri
Also, the Clay Co. Genealogical Society in Centerpoint has all cemetery records and Brazil newspapers on microfilm. Might try Fred@claynet.com Barbara
I believe the Moore Funeral Home is the one you are looking for, it was built on my Great Grandfather Turners property. He was buried from Miller and Sons but the property changed hands in 1967. Barbara Rector Hill

If this man actually died in Indianapolis, you should be able to get a copy of the death certificate from the Marion County Health Department. There is a fee. You also have to send them a photocopy of your driver's license, and print out and fill out an online form, which asks the purpose of your request/how you are related, etc. I usually just put genealogy down for mine, and bore them with the specifics. But as I say, mine have been from many years back. The death certificate USUALLY lists the place of burial. I have only obtained older ones, from 1928 back, from various counties, and they are not always correct. I would hope a more modern death certificate would have all the info correct. Depending on where he was buried, some cemeteries have excellent records. His obit may have been in the Terre Haute paper also, although if he was a Brazil person, it would probably just be a repeat of the Brazil article if there was one. The Vigo County public library has obits for the time period in question on microfilm. You find the obituary microfilm that covers when he died, then crank through alphabetically until you find him (hopefully). These obits were microfilmed from the Terre Haute Tribune or Terre Haute Star. If you want to call the library, call 812-232-1113 and ask for Special Collections. You would have to relay your request, and then call back another day to see if they can find anything. The library will not call you back long distance. The microfilm desk takes care of searching the microfilms, but you deal with the Special Collections (Genealogy) dept. Just some ideas of other ways to search for what you want. An obit that I received for Herbert Gray who passed away in November 1970 in Indianapolis, states that Miller & Sons Funeral Home, Brazil, was in charge of services. I can't seem to find a Miller & Sons funeral home; were they bought by another funeral home? Where could I write for information on the burial; i.e., what cemetery and who was listed as next of kin?
