If you can't find this anywhere else try Terre Haute Tribune Star newspaper which is online and search archive obituaries.. Mary VinZant was married to Clyde Vinzant or maybe I should say was she married to Clyde. I think they divorced after their son Brad was killed. they had five sons. and Mary worked at the Clay Co Hospital for years. one of their sons Brad was killed accidentally by a gun shot. He ran in front of the bullet after it was fired.. They lived on Harrison st in Brazil I think.. and I think she was a Howald before she married. On Sat, 19 Aug 2000 08:57:53 -0700 "Vernon V. Is anyone on this list researching ROGERS/MCCOY/JEWELL surnames? I am also researching any connections to the ESKEW/CROSSON/BONHAM/FISHELL surnames. These were located in the GREENE/SULLIVAN/CLAY and possibly CASS or PUTNAM county areas in the late 1800's and early 1900's. If there is anyone else researching any of the names pls contact me at: anatet@claynet.com. Thank you, Sheri Searching for: TETIDRICK/POTTS/HARNESS/TARPLEY, SWEETEN/MOORE/CORDELL, PIGG/VICE/GOFF/GARDNER/LEMMON/OLIVER/HART/MORGAN/OWENS, AKERS/MCCOY/MCCREARY/ROGERS/JEWELL and any other associated links :))

I am doing research on the Smith families of Clay Co. as well. However, I have nothing on this Thomas J. Smith. Perhaps he was a grandson of one of Oliver's brothers, or a cousins' line. I have not run all the lines on the Smith family yet. There seems to be other Smith's that are not connected to our family.
