Hi Carol, Philip Young Boyd and Hannah Danhauer were my gggrandparents. I live on the site of their homestead in Jackson Twp. Clay Co. Indiana. Philip and Hannah came to Clay Co. from Muskingum Co. Ohio in the late 1840s. I can trace Hannah's family back to Germany, but have not been able to discover Philip's ancestry. He was born, I think, in either New Jersey or Maryland. Can you help? Let me know, if you are a descendant of Philip's line, as I am. Thank you. Date: 14 Aug 1927. Location: Brazil, Clay County, Indiana. Photographer: R.B. Hape Photo, Terre Haute. The original photo is a sepia tone, but I scanned it in grayscale to make the file a reasonable size, while retaining a good resolution. Also, I needed to scan the original panoramic photo in 2 segments and join them together. The photo is almost 19" long, and a little over 7" tall, and is framed behind glass. If any family members are interested in the original photo, they can have it for what I paid for it. Otherwise, I will donate it to the Clay County Genealogical Society. See the attachment to see if you recognize anyone. I hope this is able to help someone!
Just a note on the use of this feature...I've found that you must click the SEARCH button to perform the search. Hitting your RETURN of ENTER key won't do. you will get more from Terre Haute Tribune anyway.. also might try putting in BANNER GRAPHIC that is a Greencastle paper that prints the Brazil Times and some times they have Brazil news. I just search for Banner Graphic and it comes up.. I don't know how to tell you any other way to get it. Right, if you enter a name and click the search button and nothing happens that means the name is not there. You can click the search button with NO name entered and it will show all obits. In using the site for The Brazil Times and clicking on Obituaries, if you put in a name and nothing happens does that mean there aren't any obituaries under that name? I am not familiar with the newspaper. Barb
