Delores, Are you aware of the Tefertellers in IL in 1870 and MO in 1880s? I saw one who would be about Margaret's age; maybe a brother-in-law? Wondering if thats where they were headed. The others are from TN and KY. Sharon ----- Original Message ----- From: Delores K To: INCLAY-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, January 27, 2005 5:16 PM Subject: RE: [INCLAY] Teferteller Hello Sharon. I can't believe it, here is the last name with a J again instead of a T again. In the 1700,s it was with a D instead of a T. I understand the D for a T, (German script) but a J. These "marks" are easily removed. I would not be as far in my families genealogy if it were not for sharing. I just do not share personal, private info. or info that is less than 50 years old. Hello List: I am new to this list and I have a HUGE mystery. I have a Margaret Teferteller who moved to Clay Co. IN during the year 1880, from Shelby Co. KY. I have her documented up until December of 1870 in Shelby Co. KY where one of her daughters married a Jesse Perkins there. Then on another piece of evidence I have she is in Clay Co. Then her youngest daughter Minerva married Edward N Hawkins the 26 Sept. 1880 in Clay Co. IN. This I found from the Indiana Marriages, 1845-1920, Book 5, page 184. And no, I do not have a copy of that marriage certificate to see if her mother Margaret has signed it. She would be 23 years old then. I have never been able to find Margaret on any census after 1870. I don't believe she died because she would only be 60 years old. I wonder if she remarried, but I have not been able to find a marriage or a death for either in Clay Co. Is there something I have missed looking at? Is there anything on the internet to show the certificate of the marriage of Minerva to Edward N Hawkins to see in Margaret's name is on the certificate or does anyone on the list have access to the marriage certificates? I have not been able to find Edward and Minerva after they married. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thank you. Delores
