    3. A family bible or church record or remotely a newspaper. At least you have a date for an Indiana birth that early. Many are not that fortunate. Where did you get the date you have? Debby -----Original Message----- From: Ed Crabtree [mailto:EWCRABTREE@prodigy.net] Sent: Friday, August 18, 2000 4:23 PM To: INCASS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [INCASS] birth certificate prior to 1882 I am trying to locate a birth certificate of a Ruth Sturgeon born December 2, 1847 on a farm near Lake Cicott in Cass County. Her father was Taylor Sturgeon and her mother was Eunice - last name unknown. According to the Cass County Circuit Court Clerk they have no records of birth prior to 1882. Any suggestions where I might try next? Thanks, in advance.
