    3. Hi, I don't need just a specific obit. I would like to read the whole year of 1868 & 69 newspapers, and maybe some other years. I believe I can find hidden clues to my ancestors in newspapers, so I would like to buy a microfilm newspaper or even better if I can get one through inter-library loan. Could someone tell me if this is possible. Charlotte kerry wrote: > did you try emailing the Tipton library? 3. For those interested in interlibrary loan: Interlibrary loan requests originate at your local public library. Some charge a fee, some provide ILL services free to their card holding patrons. The Indiana State Library will most likely be the organization loaning the film for any Indiana newspapers you request. There is a 2-4 week limit on the time you may keep the reel. The state library has a newspaper holdings guide online at: http://www.statelib.lib.in.us/WWW/INDIANA/NEWSPAPER/HOLD.HTML This site list all but the most recent acquisitions for most Indiana counties. You may want to print this url for your local librarian to use in helping you select the film you require. If you prefer to purchase the microfilm, it is available through the Indiana Historical Society. See: http://www.indianahistory.org/library/library.php?page=45 Click on "Search the catalog". Here you can search for the reel you want. At $20. + s&h and tax it is a bargain. Happy reading! Debby --- "Charlotte E. Flock" <flocks4@junct.com> wrote: > Hi, > > I don't need just a specific obit.
