Charlotte suggested I give you the names I'm looking for so I will in hopes that someone else is working on this family. Thus far postings on surname lists on these families have warranted no results. Emma R. Walters died at age 70 on 6 June 1919 in Logansport (CH-5, page 68 death record reference). What I'm really looking for is who her parents are to see if she's a sister to my ancestor. I believe her maiden name may have been McAdams. There is an A.C. Walters who died 12 June 1918 in Logansport (CH-5, page 35 death record reference) who I believe is her husband. I'd also be interested in knowing where they're buried. I have written Cass Co. many times for records on this and other lines (and they have been very responsive) but because this is so speculative, I'd rather try to do some preliminary checking before I send money for a copy of the death record. If anyone knows anything or knows someone who would check for obits or has access to Cass Co. cemetery records or knows someone who will check out the death record info for parents and spouse, I'd sure appreciate. But I have did a lot of letter writing to Logansport, and have receive information. That is sometimes the only way. Looking forward to know your surnames. > > Charlotte > > Marylin Benfield wrote: > > > Can anyone tell me if there is someone who lives in the Logansport area that looks up information off death certificates and/or looks for obituaries. I have a particular death record I'd like to see whether or not it includes parents names or maiden name to see if it's the right one. I know I can write for it but I'd like to do a preliminary check this way before I send off cash or a money order to the county office. > > > > Thanks all, > > Marylin > > > > ==== INCASS Mailing List ==== > > @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- @->- > > Interested in Cass County Pioneer Cemetery Restoration? > > Come visit http://www.rootsweb.com/~inpcrpmc/index.html > > > > ============================== > > Visit Ancestry.com for a FREE 14-Day Trial and enjoy access to the #1 > > Source for Family History Online.
