Searching in Cass Co., Logansport for GRAHAM families. John Graham b. Cinn, OH 1836 and brother Samuel, b. Cinn, OH, 1834 moved with family to Indiana about 1840. John and Samuel, both carpenters, later moved to Dallas and Polk Co., IOWA about 1849. JOHN GRAHAM married Mary FREEL( Freel family was from Indiana) in 1849 in IA. John and Mary moved to Logansport, IN with children Margaret, Phoebe and John Franklin about 1855 and lived there for three or four years. Charles Wesley Graham and Pharma Graham were born in Logansport between 1855 and 1860. Need to find names of parents of JOHN and SAMUEL GRAHAM, they may have continued to live in Indiana. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Sheilah in Idaho

Hi, I am researching George Eichelburner also spelled Eikelberner who was in the 1850 census of Logansport along with two younger sisters and a brother. He and his wife and two young children are buried in Mt Hope cemetery. Also researching his wife Georgeanna and her parents George Lightner and Dorothy Orwig. They were also buried in Mt Hope. In the Clymers area of Cass County I am researching the Rea family and the Amoss family. They are buried in the St. Johns Cemetery and the Clymers Cemetery. Both families were living in Cass County beginning about 1850. This was a great idea. Helen Swanson, Houston, Texas
Teresa, Yes, I have heard of this Wendell Miller, that lived in North Carolina. I have only located my Wendel Miller that is married to Caroline Grusenmeyer. In Altoona, Blair Co., PA and Pittsburgh, PA. And in Cass, County, IN. I have not found a connection to your Wendell Miller and mine. I know of only one child of Wendel & Caroline Miller that moved to Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH. Most of them stood in Cass County, or real close by. Hi. I have some info on Kistlers in Logansport from 1860 to 1882. Please send your email address and I will forward what I have. Gigi :-)
Looking for information on Daniel & Catherine Lance Landess that resided in New Waverly, Cass Co., IN ca 1861 to 1870. Their children were William Hensley, John Allen, Issac, David, Mary S., Lydia Ann, Henry Levi, Ida Mae and Rebecca Ann. They then moved on to Missori soon after 1870.
These are my surnames in Cass co. My grandmother, Amanda Phillips, was supposed to have been born in Mar 1885 in Walton to Frank Phillips and Mollie Bowyer. There is no record of Amanda's birth in Cass co. She may have fudged on the year and may have been older, born before the records started OR out of the county. I haven't found Frank and Mollie yet but the century is young... Amanda's first husband was Daniel M. Richeson b. about 1878, Lake Cicott, Cass co. I think he may be the child of James M. Richeson and Lydia [no proof]. By Daniel, she had Darwin Richeson, my mother's older half-brother, a really nice man, who lived most of his life in Kokomo [wife Thelma Davis]. The Richesons are not really blood kin, but because of Darwin I would like to know about his family. Daniel's obituary mentions another son Sam Richeson of Peru. It says that Daniel "as a small child was taken to Walton where he grew to manhood. He came to Kokomo and for 15 years was a clerk in the McCaffery grocery that was located on the south side of the public square. Later he took employment with the Mascari, now Minardo, wholesale fruit company as a salesman, a connection he maintained for 23 years." He was a member of the Eagles lodge. Burial was in the Walton Cemetery. This was from a clipping with no date. He doesn't show up in the SSDI. Paula Stewart
