Mr. Morse had lived in Monroe County most of his life up until nine years ago when he moved to the farm near Monrovia where he was living at the time of his death. Survivors include the wife, Bessie; two daughters, Mrs. R.W. Mitchell and Miss Bertha Morse, both of Indianapolis; one son, Robert E. Morse of Kingman, Arizona; two brothers, Verne Morse, of Bloomington, and Thurman Morse, of Portland, Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Ethel McDaniel, of Bloomington; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Greene and Harrell Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial will be in the Needmore Cemetery [Brown Co.]." (May 29, 1947) The children were from a previous marriage to Rachel Ellen (d. 1-3-1941 in Indianapolis, IN) that ended in divorce in Brown Co. The second wife was Bessie Siscoe, daughter of Samuel James Siscoe and Etta May Clark.
