He and his wife Sarah and children moved to Brown Co, IN around 1830. To John and Sarah a daughter was born in 1838 (Our record list her name as Jane Winkler). We have always suspected that "Sarah" was Sarah Heilman, but had no documents that gave her name. We know that the family moved to Monroe Co, and appears in the census record in one of the bloomington districts. Jane's brother John Devine Winkler is my gg-grandfather. We never found any more info on Jane, maybe because her name was actually Margaret Jane. Please let me know what evidence consist of, that you have about Margaret Jane's parents.
