In the 1870 census for Indiana, Brown county, Washington township, post office of Nashville, page 40, there was a family headed by Levi Knapp, 52, a wagon maker, born in Va, and included Sarah E, 42, keeping house, Va, Amanda, 11, Va, Sarah Walls, 7, Ind, and a female Marion, 6/12, Ind. In the 1880 census for Indiana, Brown county, ED 20, page 20B, there was a family headed by Levi Knapp, 61, carpenter, born in Va as were both parents, and included his wife Sarah E, 51, keeping house, born in Va as were both parents, his daughter Marion L, 10, Ind and his step daughter Sarah E Walls, 17, Ind.
