Hi List, I ordered and received 4 marriage records from Brown County. I received marriage certificates, but was expecting marriage applications. I called the Clerk's office and was told that the certificates were the only records for marriages going back that far-no applications: 1885, 1893, 1898, 1899. Did the use of marriage applications in Indiana vary by county? I know that Monroe County does have applications for those dates. Is it possible the applications are archived elsewhere?
