Judy Crone is the Harrison County Registrar. In Indiana, Birth and Death records are filed in the county where the event occurred. Birth and Death certificates are available from February 1, 1882 to the present. No records prior to this date are available from the County Health Department. The Indiana State Department of Health has birth records dating from October, 1907, and death records from 1900. Birth Certificates cost $5.00 each. Death Certificates are $4.00 for the first certified copy and $2.00 for each additional copy of the same certificate. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must provide picture identification. Personal Checks are accepted; however, credit cards are not. Laminated or wallet-sized copies are not available at this time. For marriage records you must contact the Harrison County Clerk's Office at (812) 738-4289.
