My ggrandparents were married in Wakeup, IN. Wakeup was at the foot of Bear Wallow Hill. I would like some more information on Wakeup. Monty

Before there was rural free delivery (RFD), people had to pick their mail up at the post office. To make it easy for them to pick up their mail, there were several small post offices established throughout the county. Such a post office might be located in a general store or maybe in somebody's house. Wakeup was one of these small post offices and was in existance from 1889 till 1901.
