Can someone tell me about his family? I am looking for the father of my g. grandfather, william bender, born 1852 place unknown, who said his mother was Gertrude(Berkey) married to a William Bender, of unknown location. Sibling names also unknown. All I have to go on is that in the 1880 Franklin co. census, where William Bender the son lived his whole married life, he said he was born in Indiana.(But does not show up in Franklin Co. before his 5/7/ 1874 marriage to Maria Fink of Franklin Co)
