Wifes: Moore, Estes, Tabor, Collins Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Jh.2ADI/1324.1 Message Board Post: I would like information on any/all Robertson Reunion(s)! I descend from "Joseph Rainey Robertson, b. 1760-1780 in Scotland", and then his son Johnson Robertson, married Polly Langston, b. 1811 of (possibly Abraham and Isabella Clark). My Joseph married a Susannah Johnson ( b.1760-1780), on Nov 11, 1795 in Madison Co., KY I am totally stuck on Joseph and Susannah at this time. I am beginning to wonder if Susannah may have been a Native American woman (Cherokee?) as the name Johnson was fairly common among the Cherokee, and a popular first name among them was Mahala. Joseph and Susannah had a daughter named Mahala! If this helps anyone I will be happy, and if anyone can help me, I will be estatic! Thanks, John Robetson

Surnames: Brummet, Prossor Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Jh.2ADI/451.453.774.780.1 Message Board Post: Don, First of all, please note my new Email address: magrif@verizon.net. Next, since our mailings 2 yrs. ago, I've discovered something quite disconcerting, that it appears the ancestor I have been tracking, Richard McCandra Brumett was actually son of Ren S. Brummet & Margaret Prossor rather than Louis C. Brummet. I'm wondering if you can tell me if you know anymore about Ren & his ancestry. I've found him at Brown County in 1860 with son Richard M. - I'd had handed down research (not family handed down bible or other information) that significantly erred and have just now discovered this - Of course I agree that these folks were either all siblings or at least cousins as it seemed most of the Prossors married Brummets. - Thanks, Allan Griffith

My great grandfather, Jack Hamblen was born and raised in Illinois, Indiana or somewhere in the Midwest. He migrated rather quickly to Texas, after alledgedly abducting his two children from his wife and her family. There are several anecdotes regarding his life. If even some of them are true, he was a very interesting fellow. I would like to find the truth, as much as I can, about this man and his progenitors. Richard Hamblen

Was Amanda Pool possibly originally from Brown County? There was another large Hedrick family in Monroe County just to the west of Brown County. I've long suspected these two families stemmed from Hedrick brothers who cam here from Virginia, but I've never taken time to research or prove that. If Amanda came from Brown County, it could be your John came from the Monroe County Hedrick family and they were married where she lived. Sorry I can't help further.
