    3. I forgot to ask one other question about the area around Br.Co, do any of you know if there might be a Creek called "Sly Creek" that would be by this area around Nashville? This was on my Uncle's birth certificate as part of the area where my Grandmother Myrtle was born. Thanks again, I only need a answer if there is such a place, so you don't have to take the time just to say no. Myrna Casey [email protected]

    3. Wow, I've had so many nice replies to my query about the Annandale Estates area. Isn't this strange? I wonder if perhaps there wasn't a area by that name in Brown Co. back in the 1880's, as there is evidence that my Grandmother was born there. Also we know her father was living in Brown Co. at some time. His wife was from New Castle, so it's not unlikely that they might have been down there. Thanks everyone so much for all your correspondence, I'm disappointed of course, but isn't that the way with genealogy, always a up or down, but in time it usually works out. Records for my Grandmother, Myrtle Rosalee Houchins, are hard to find as she was put into a foster home when she was just a small child, about 4 years of age, as her mother died shortly after child birth, as were her sister's and brothers. There were 9 children in all, but she was the only one that the foster parents changed residences, and moved out here to WA. All her children thought she was adopted by her foster parents as she went by their last name of McDonald. However I found in some very old records of her foster father's Will, she was named as his foster daughter. This really surprised everyone, so since then I've been looking for further records for her, but all I come up with is she was born in IN according to the 1880 MN census. Evidently they moved from IN to MN during her first year. Thanks again. Hope to visit that beautiful area in the future. Myrna Casey

    3. I'm looking for a possible connection to my Grandmother's birth place. A friend who lives in IN told me today she ran across a area called "Annandale Estates" on her way to Nashville, IN. She said it was a group of log cabins that dated from the 1840's. Her name was Myrtle Rosalee Houchins. Parents were Harvey G. Houchins and Rebecca Personett Houchins. In records of my Grandmothers it states she was born in Annandale Estates IN. All this time I thought it was a town called Annandale. Of course I haven't been able to find such a town in IN, but there is one in MN. If anyone could help me with the location and maybe a source to "Annandale Estates" I would be very grateful. This is a problem with birth area for years. I haven't been able to get a birth certificate for her either as no one knew where to find it. Thank you so much, Myrna Singer Casey [email protected] http://www.my-ged.com/singer/ Researching the following: Personette, Houchins, in this area
