Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/In/Brown/911 Surname: ------------------------- I have just started to research this side of our family. My Ollie supposedly was killed in a hunting accident before the birth of his son William Ollie. I have also heard that he was illegitimit but have no proof. I am assuming that Jane Hampton was married to Ollie Moore, but may not have been. His great grandson told me that they lived in Brown Co., around Nashville. I have also heard that Ollie was originally from North Carolina. I have no dates to go by other that William was born in 1890s. William Ollie married Pearl Reed, also from Brown Co. These could be tied to your family somehow, but we don't have alot to go on. Thanks for the information.

    3. Before there was rural free delivery (RFD), people had to pick their mail up at the post office. To make it easy for them to pick up their mail, there were several small post offices established throughout the county. Such a post office might be located in a general store or maybe in somebody's house. Wakeup was one of these small post offices and was in existance from 1889 till 1901.
