    3. Hi, Jamie - I can't help you with Hiram Weddle, but I do have the parents of Thomas William Weddle as John A & Mary (Walling) Weddle of Baltimore, Maryland and then Brown Co, IN. My source was an e-mail in Aug '02 from Ron Weddle. My interest is in children and grandchildren of Thomas William Weddle who married descendants of Samuel Lockridge. 2. A FAMILY HISTORIANS LAMENT AUTHOR UNKNOWN I've been doing family history for nearly 30 years, Diligently tracing my illustrious forebears, >From Pigeon Lake to Peterborough, Penrith to Penzance, My merry band of ancestors has led me quite a dance. There's cooks from Kent and guards from Gwent and chimney sweeps from Chester. There's even one daft fisherman lived all his life in Leicester, There's no- one rich or famous, no not even well-to-do, Though a second cousin twice removed once played in goal for Crewe. I've haunted record offices from Gillingham to Jarrow, The little grey cells of my mind would humble Hercule Poirot. I've deciphered bad handwriting that would shame a three year old, And brought the black sheep of the family back to the fold. My bride of just three minutes, I left standing in the church, As I nipped into the graveyard for a spot of quick research. Eventually I found an uncle, sixty years deceased. That was far more satisfying than a silly wedding feast, After three weeks of wedded bliss, my wife became despondent She named the public records office as the co-respondent. I didn't even notice when she packed her bags and went I was looking for a great granddad's will who'd died in Stoke on Trent But now my 30 year obsession's lying in the bin Last Tuesday week, I heard some news that made me pack it in. Twas then my darling mother, who is not long for this earth, Casually informed me they'd adopted me at birth!

While I haven't found a record of Aden/Eden of Brown County before 1840 or a record of Aden/Eden of Hendricks County after 1840, I believe they are two different individuals, because they both appear to be listed in the 1840 Census: State: Indiana Year: 1840 County: Hendricks Page: 5 Eden Bayles 2 1 - - - 1 - - - 1 - - - - 2 - - 1 - - - - - - - - (eldest male age 70-79, eldest female age 20-30) State: Indiana Year: 1840 County: Brown Township: Van Buren Page: 187 Aden/Adam Boles/Bales 2 1 1 - - - - 1 - - - - - 1 - - - 1 - - - - - - - - (eldest male age 50 to 59, eldest female age 20 to 30)

    1. [INBR] Hendricks
    2. I am trying to make connection with anyone who is descended from the William and Margaret Hendricks family that were in Van Buren Township in the late 1800s. Their children were Daniel J (1827); Thomas A (1839); Joseph (1840); Mary C. (1844); Elizabeth (1847); William (1852); John A. (1855). She also raised a nephew Thomas C. (abt 1842). I am interested in finding out who the parents of Thomas C were and also more about Margaret. She was born Brewer, the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Bennett Brewer and two of her sisters also married Hendricks men and I can't fine out which sister married which man as both must have died before 1850 although were still alive as of February 1, 1842, when their father wrote his will. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. I went through the records at the DAR library in DC last week and found some information, but nothing that can help me find the other siblings of Margaret. Her sisters were Mary and Elizabeth Brewer. Thanks. Jerilyn
