Searching for parents of my 2nd ggfather, JAMES W PATTERSON b 1-8-1817 VA d abt 1879 OH. In Rockbridge, VA on 5-1-1847 he wed MARGARET ANN LINK CROSSLEY b 12-10-1826 d 3-18-1877. I have extensive info on the descending families of this couple's 8 known children after they moved to Boone Co, IN, but their ancestry is a mystery to me. Another relative is researching this line and speculates that James W's dad was Andrew...no more info...let alone any proof. Have you ever heard of James W or Margaret??
