If the father had to sign because of under age would that also be listed or noted in the official county record book? Would I write to the county clerks office for a copy? and how much?     3. Joe, Indiana is not a state that required marriage bonds. You may not find someone giving permission for an underage bride or groom, either. Marriage returns were not universal. The license information that was posted is all that you may find for that time period. You may have to check the census, any surviving tax lists, and land records for persons of those surnames.
