The only history I have from Boone County is one on Jacob Jones found in Early Life and Times in Boone County complied by Harden & Spahr, Lebanon, Indiana, May 1887. I found this in a genealogy file in Roseburg, Oregon, placed there by another Jones researcher. It went into Jacob Jones, Sr. and Jacob Jones, Jr.'s family. It is the same one. Got the year wrong.Jacob is not James' father? There is a mention of a Jacob and Lucinda Archer Jones who had a dau Mary Jane that married John Freemont Miller in a Boone History of 1984. Is this part of the line you are researching?
