I am trying to determine if my great-grandfather, John Merritt Jones (10/17/1842 - 09/13/1900) was related to this branch of the Jones'. He moved to Indiana from West Virginia after the Civil War. He married my Great Grandmother, Ann Elizabeth Lane on 08/22/1867. They had four children, Flora B "Nellie", 1868, Alforetta, 1874, Addie L, 1873, and my grandfather Wilbert A. Jones, 06/07/1885. My grandfather married Pearl Jeanette Stahl on 3/15/1905 in Hamilton County, Indiana. John Meritt Jones, Ann E. Lane Jones, Wilbert A. Jones and Pearl Jeannette Stahl Jones are all buried at the Wright-Bethel Cemetry located @950 East County Rd 300 North in Boone County, Indiana. If anyone knows John Meritt Jones' parents and/or the connection to the other Jones family of Boone County please let me know. Jennette Pearl Jones McCleary
