    3. Hello Fellow list members, I am hoping that someone may be able to help me here... Would like to know if anyone knows who I may be able to call in regards to death certificates for 1897. I tried to call the Health department and was unable to reach anyone except for an answering machine which I left a message, but no one returned my call. It has been almost a week now and I am a bit lost. I was hoping to find out before I ordered the certificate, if there was any information on it which may be of aid to me. I have ordered certificates in the past only to have basic information on them that I already had...praying this one will not be the same case. If someone has a number to get ahold of a real live person to inquire about this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.... Laurie Carpenter

    3. How about a name first, lets check the death book and see if it is in there. Then we can go from there. Then maybe I can help you by either getting the info for you. 3. Hi Kim, Thank you for your reply. The name: Anderson Stephen CARPENTER b. 1809/1810 possibly December 25 or about, d. April 22, 1897 in Thorntown, Boone Co., Indiana Book R-15 page 41 Also searching for his wife, Mary Polly CARPENTER b. abt. 1819 d. aft. 1880. Then again, may have died to early to find a record of it. What I am hoping to find is possibly the names of parents for Anderson and hopefully his wife's maiden name. I am 99% sure that this is the Anderson I have been trying to place. I appreciate any help you may be able to do for me.
