Mary Ann, was the Thomas Neal a relative of Stephen Neal? I looked in the cemetery record books that I have and do not see Grace and Edward listed. There is a Grace Neal but she is not the same one. I remember her. Donnagene

Hi Donnagene, My GGrandfather was Thomas Neal Byroad. His Father was Enos Byroad and Enos Father was John Byroad also known as Uncle Jacky. All three of them are burried in Oal Hill Cemetery although I have not at this time found any of their graves. I am told that My GGGrandfather John has no gravestone so that could possibly be why I have not been able to find him. My Aunt Grace died at 3 years old in February 1883 Her baby brother Edward died in the same year as an infant. He was born in August and died in September. They were also Byroad's. GGrandma Susan Ullery's parents were Allen Ullery and Martha Brown. She was born in Boone County, Indiana on 10 April 1861 and she is also burried in Oak Hill Cemetery beside GGrandpa Thomas. Could the babies be burried in the same graves and therefore not listed? Some of the Byroad babies are listed on the papers I have, but they are not named only as Jack or John's child or whoever the Father was. So I have not been able to find any of the babies that are listed either. I hope better records are being kept of babies that are burried now than they were then. My Uncle Ethan's little newborn son Billy is burried with my Uncle Neal Purdue at his head. I only know this because Uncle Ethan, Grandma or Grandpa told me that as I was growing up when we would go visit Grandma's grave there. Sure would love to find all of the babies and somehow mark their graves with something easy to find on future visits..
