Hello list, I am glad to see a little activity on this list for a change, so I thought I'd post the families I'm working on in Boone County. I'm seeking CASONs, particularly the descendants or ancestors of John Cason, b. in Laurens, SC in the 1790s (son of Thomas Cason and Mary Neill, originally of Virginia--Thos. b. 1759). John and his brother Samuel married BURCKHALTER sisters and moved to Boone County around 1830, settling near Thorntown. I'm also seeking relatives of Mary ROBINSON/ROBISON, b. in Northern Ireland in about 1846. Mary married Oliver CASON, son of John (above). Mary was the daughter of James and Mariah ROBISON, who emigrated in about 1849/1850, via Liverpool and New Orleans. Also seeking relatives/searchers of Rowland ROGERS, John ROGERS' father. Rowland died in the 1840s and had come from Kentucky with Alexander ROGERS, his brother, but I don't know if they were born there. May have been from Ohio, where Rowland's first wife, Asenath Jane RAMSEY was from. All of these lived in the townships bordering with Clinton Co., in an area from Thorntown to Mechanicsburg and Pike's Crossing.
