I wonder if this line of McLeans might be related to my collateral line of McLeans? I have the following information on mine. David McLean, b. 1780, Ireland, d. 1848, m. Margaret McGinnis, b. 1780, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, d. December 1840.  There were 7 known unnamed children and Elizabeth M. McLean, b. April 15, 1815 born to this union.  NOTES: 16 January 1808. Deed Book 8-1, Page 232. David McGinnis and Elizabeth his wife of Franklin Twp. to DAVID McLEAN (also MACLEAN). Price: $500. Land: Two undivided tracts of land containing a total of 430 acres: 1} tract in Washington twp, called "The Upper Place", bounded by John Anderson, William Laughland, and James Hill, Esq.; 2} tract in Franklin twp. (the lower or grist mill place) adjoining Hugh Donley, James Irvin, and others. McLEAN to pay the Land Office whatever amount McGinnis still owes the Commonwealth. In return, McGinnis transfers to McLEAN his right and claim to 40 pounds due McGinnis "by the above estate".
