From History of Boone County Indiana compiled in 1984 by Boone County Historical Society and Friends: Page 10: "Joaquin Miller, 'The Poet of the Sierras,' who died a number of years ago in California, was once a barefoot boy on the streets of Lebanon. With his mother, he spent the summer of 1841 here visiting relatives. during their stay here, they were the guests of Mrs. Miller's uncle, Michael WITT. Do you have any into about John and Susannah Chambers who came to Boone County from Ohio around 1835? Also I need a birthdate for Sarah Moffitt Chambers who was born in Hazelrigg in Boone County.
