William, my primary person of interest, was 69 and born in NY in that census. Minerva was 44, born in IN. In the 1880,census Minerva was alone with the children, suggesting William had died. Minerva died in 1918 in the county infirmary/poor house. I have her obit which says she was born in 1821 in Boggstown OH (though all her censuses say IN), the daughter of ______ Jackson and widow of William Beach, farmer, who had died about 35 years earlier. Minerva's children were Sarah b. ~1849 OH, Eliza Jane b. ~1859 OH, Hester b. ~1861 OH, Mary b. ~1864 IN, Ira J. "Jesse" b. ~1865 IN, William V. b. ~1867 IN. Only Hester and Mary were alive by 1900. I don't think William was Sarah and Eliza's father because census records give their fathers birthplace as CT, while the other children had NY as fathers birthplace. I would appreciate any info on this family, especially on William, as I suspect he may be my ancestor. My William was born in NY ~1800, married Monica Ross in Brown Co. OH in 1826, and lived in Brown and Clermont Cos, OH until after 1860, when Monica appeared to be widowed and was living with one of her sons. In the 1860 census in Clermont Co., OH Minerva J. Beech, 34 b. IN, Pamelia E. 13 b. OH, Sarah E. 11 b. OH, and Eliza J. 1 b. OH were living next door to William and Monica Beech. I would greatly appreciate any information on this family! Thanks in advance, Cheryl
