I think that your Dale Cooper is the son of James Cooper and Emma Fowler who married in Bartholomew county on 6 Feb 1890, source is book C-12, page 1890. When Dale registered for the WW1 draft he stated he was born Nov 8, 1891 in Madison county. I believe that this is your family, in the 1900 census for Madison county, Frankton township, Dist 102, page 8B, the family was headed by James Cooper, 33, born Apr 1867, married 10 years, a laborer in a glass plant, born in Ind, father in Ohio, and mother in Ireland, and included his wife Emma, 28, Aug 1871, married 10 years, mother of 7, 5 still living, born in Ind as were both parents, his son Daily (your Dale), 8, Nov 1891, Ind, at school, his son Earnest, 4, Jun 1895, Ind, his twin sons Ray and Roy, 3, Nov 1896, and his son Loren, 1, May 1899, Ind. In the 1910 census the family was back in Bartholomew coun! ty, Hawcreek township, Dist 19, 6A, but only Emma (widowed), Roy, Ray, and Loren are listed. Could not find Dale/Daily in the 1910 census but I think he was still in Madison county working as a farm laborer and was listed as Phay. Don
