Whittington was born about 1813 in KY. He died on 11 Jun 1889. He was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., Bartholomew Co., Indiana. He was married to Patsey E. Reynolds (daughter of George W. Reynolds and Dorcas ?) on 12 Sep 1833 in Jackson Co., Indiana. Patsey E. Reynolds was born about 1817 in KY. She died on 21 Jul 1905. She was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., Bartholomew Co., Indiana. Francis T. Whittington and Patsey E. Reynolds had the following children: 1) Rev. Francis L. Whittington was born about Mar 1842. He died on 28 Jan 1912. He was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., Bartholomew Co., Indiana. He was married to Mary Walters (daughter of Leonard C. Walters and Martha West) about 1858. [see more below…] 2) William H. Whittington was born about 1843 in Indiana. He died in 1929. He was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., Bartholomew Co., Indiana. He was married to Mary E. ?. Mary E. ? was born in 1847. She died on 23 Dec 1911. She was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., Bartholomew Co., Indiana. 3) Mary Whittington was born about 1846 in Indiana. 4) Rebecca Whittington was born about 1849 in Indiana. 5) Adaline Whittington was born about 1850 in Indiana. 6) Henry Whittington was born about 1853 in Indiana. He died in 1900. He was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., Bartholomew Co., Indiana. 7) Sarah Whittington was born about 1855 in Indiana. Rev. Francis L. Whittington and Mary Walters (born about 1842 in Indiana, died in 1927) had the following children: 1) Wilda Whittington was born in 1861. She died in 1936. 2) Francis Willard Whittington was born in 1867. He died on 23 Oct 1894. 3) Isham Whittington was born in 1869. He died in 1952. 4) Benjamin Whittington was born in 1871. 5) George H. Whittington was born on 7 Mar 1874. 6) Henry S. Whittington was born about Oct 1877. He died on 7 Oct 1900. He was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., Bartholomew Co., IN. 7) John W. Whittington was born in Feb 1880. 8) Wright Whittington was born before 1882. Please take note I am not a descendent of this family. I ran across them in the research of my West and Mathis roots which crisscross into the Reynolds, Walters, Mathis, Rude & Whittington families in the area of Brown and Bartholomew counties. I am trying to figure out who Martha West's parents were.
