Ramson was born in NC near Asheboro (somewhere along "Back Creek"). His brother John is buried next to him at the New Bern, IN cemetery (along with both of his wives (1) Hanna Doane and (2) Elizabeth Stout Moon) and many other Davis family members. Have not been able to find out who his father/mother were and so far it seems no one else has either.
