James L. Collins (b.11 Feb 1885) and Ethel A. Oakes (b.22 Aug 1884) were married on 15 Apr 1912 in Shelby County IN. Ethel was the daughter of Ben and Emily Williams of Johnson County, and had been previously married in Bartholomew County. We'd like to find descendants of this couple, but, in particular, we'd like to find Ethel's child by a prior marriage, who might have been born some time in abt 1902. We believe that this child, now surely deceased, would be a half-sibling to my mother. We don't know if the child was raised by Collins or was perhaps adopted by others.
