Is there an index of Indiana deaths ca 1855? Or do you know what newspaper carried ca 1855 obituaries for Bartholemew and Shelby counties? I'm looking for the death of Eleazor/Eleazer Rouse, who was killed by a falling tree about 1855. Eleazor was married to Eliza McKee. Eleazor's son John Rouse married Sarah Crail of Shelby County in 1857. I've written Bartholemew County, but they do not have Eleazor's death record or marriage record.
