James was born in Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana in 1826. His father was born in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio in 1800. Aaron and family relocated to Pope County, Illinois in 1832. Both Aaron and Anna died within a few years thereafter near Golconda, IL. James later married a Catherine Formwalt, born in Fayetteville, TN. in 1829, and remained in Pope County, IL. the remainder of his life. James' daughter Priscilla India Taylor later married Daniel Flanery and they farmed in the Pope County, IL. - area for the rest of their lives. I will be pleased to exchange information with any researcher of this family.
