The next entry is for this baby's mother, Anna Maria Stockhowe Kreienhagen, born 20 Oct. 1826, died 12 May 1852. There is also an earlier death entry for Gerhard Wilhelm Kreienhagen, died 18 July 1848, aged 66Y 6M 12D; and Maria Katharina Kreienhagen (no maiden name given), died 24 Aug. 1848, aged 57Y. I abstracted these White Creek records in 1979. My husband's family, the Kuhlmanns, were early members at White Creek.
Donna Thanks! your most helpful, We suspect Johann Freidrich may have had 2 wives, I think you just proved it. He never seems to appear in any Indiana census. Gerhard Wilhelm Kreienhagen/ born Meier, Maria Katharina Kreienhagen Maria has no maiden name because she was born a Kreinhagen, it is Gerhard who had to change his name since Maria owned the property in Germany. These are the garndparents of John 1851, they came to America in 1847 and perished in 1848. For some reason their 3 children all joined and founded the White Creek Methodist church.
