The chest is about 3-4 feet long and at least 1-2 feed wide. Inside the chest there's what seems to be company information branded into the wood. What I could read is: [ ]ER Co Forest Park Lin[ ] [ ]rest Park IN So, my question is if anyone recognizes what the second line could be referring to. What type of worker (woodworker or furniture maker or other) would have made such a chest? Are city directories in which the company might be listed available for before 1946? How far would the company have shipped such a chest? As far as I know the family was never in Indiana. I'm posting this to both the Steuben and the Bartholomew county boards, since there is a location called Forest Park in both counties. Looking forward to any guesses.
